Picked up a passenger seat for it as well as the tach loop to make it work with the neg ground conversion, plus a pair of correct red rear upper lenses and the dash heater controls. I also have a pair of original Unipart headlights that I'll install soon. This car starts easily and runs smoothly. Would be a pity to part it out. Update 3/29/2024I drove the car for the first time since getting it about 18mo ago. Good clutch, good gearbox, good steering, good brakes.Plan to list it on FB and CL this evening. Update 3/22/2024I started the car up last night after rigging up an external fuel tank. Fuel to carbs, no leaks. Car chokes and starts, runs smooth, exhaust sounds good. 60psi oil pressure, cold. No water pump leaks, started coming up to temp. Ready to try and move under its own power this week.I pulled and rebuilt the 25D distributor. It rotates smoothly, I greased the action plate, set the points gap, the correct vacuum advance works, shaft end is a few thou. Will go back in tomorrow. This car is a late pull handle MK1 with steel wheels, a running motor, and a 4 synchro 4sp gearbox. I went through the entire hydraulic system within the past 6 months:Pedal box - reconditionedOE Lockheed clutch master cylinder- rebuiltOE Lockheed brake master cylinder - rebuiltSlave cylinder - newBrake hoses (3X) - newParking brake boots - newBrake cylinders - disassembled, cleaned, inspected, rebuiltGood clutch and brake pedal pressure. Parking brake is adjusted.Reconditioned SU fuel pump installed, it is wired and plumbed. Ticks like it should when the key is on, shuts off when the float bowls are full. No overflow, float valves work great.New coolant hoses installed, correct coolant pipe to heater sourced and installed. Replacement radiator installed. Cooling system filled and checked, no leaks.New bonnet release cable installed.Rebuilt OE PCV valve installed.Original grille installed in place of the damaged one that came with it. Aluminum bonnet. Lights, heater motor, wipers work.Pack-away top frame with decent top, no tears, clear windows. All locks keyed to a FS single key.Car rolls easily, parking brake works. Baby moon hubcaps, correct RH vent wing included (soon to be installed). Replacement tire installed on one wheel to make all 4 matching sizes. Gas tank is shot. Car runs off an external gas tank at the moment.
